Why we decided to hand over
James 1:2-4
Since we have started to build up the Namugongo Children's Village we have whole-heartedly worked in submission to the authority that we believe God put us under. We have honored our leaders and would refuse any critisism that would arise from left or right.
Yet, after serving faithfully, devoting our whole life to the project, we found that we were being mis-trusted.
This mistrust grew to an extend that we could not function anymore, the tension was un-bearable for us. To our surprice, the board of directors of Kinderhulp Afrika, our donors, asked us to hand the full authority over the mission back to them while stepping down from the post of directors.
As they were our leaders, and thus we were under their authority, we felt that we could not do anything else but exactly what they asked from us. We however asked to be released from under their leadership and continue in our own ministry that God has clearly called us into. This they accepted.
Now that was the short version of the reason.
There is a long version as well but we feel that this should be avoided.
